VERBA VOLANT, SCRIPTA MANENT, 2025
Lightness, transparency, and a sense of flight have always been an essential part of VERBA’s aesthetic. And this time, the play on words in the project’s title is far from accidental. VERBA flies — the written remains: hundreds and thousands of messages on the jewelry dedicated to the most important human emotions and timeless values — love and friendship, beauty and freedom, philosophy and the search for one’s path. Words that are necessary and meaningful in every era.
VERBA jewelry is a story not only about adornments, but above all about ideas and thoughts passed from person to person, from oneself to oneself, from the past to the present and future, from ethereal heights to earthly shores, across cultural and geographical boundaries. And this “transmitter” has been working for more than twenty years, winning the hearts and trust of people all over the world.
This time, the snow-white cloud of VERBA’s new winter collection carries a scattering of sparkling snowflakes bearing messages in ancient and modern languages. Crystal-words, formed somewhere far away and long ago, will reach us — across mountains, continents, and millennia.
When ancient Greek became the new language for the brand’s 10th anniversary, this year VERBA jewelry will feature Egyptian hieroglyphs for the first time.
The pieces are crafted from silver, transparent acrylic glass, and rock crystals. Part of the installation will also be VERBA’s annual glass Christmas ornament — this year in a milky-white hue, inscribed with UT HIC DIES TIBI CANDIDUS ILLUXERIT / may this bright day shine upon you (Erasmus Roterodamus)
